Family Pavilion - WMPO
Scottsdale, Arizona TPC Golf Course
My Role:
Lead designer, collaboration with the Thunderbird Charity Organization for creative direction, design presentation, conceptualization, mock up renderings, design development, print production and implementation.
Brief:
As the organizers of the annual golf tournament, the Thunderbirds ensured a unique presence with their tent on the course. Seeking to evoke an outdoor urban vibe complete with street art and vibrant colors, the organization drew inspiration from downtown Austin, Texas. To enhance the ambiance, they decided to incorporate murals featuring legendary guitar players throughout history.
Design Iterations
During the design process, various concepts were presented to the client to facilitate revisions and approach their objective. Throughout this journey, numerous environmental graphics were created, and some of them were almost chosen. Below are a few examples.
Deliverables
Signage & Environmental Graphics:
Given that the theme revolved around the Austin, Texas bar scene, we believed it was crucial to adorn the stark white tent walls with graphics, neon signage and turf flooring to mimic the golf course. The Thunderbirds wanted to pay homage to legendary musicians, as well as make the space a family friendly.
